Wrapping up 2022

“The ending is the beginning”

Can we say 2022 is the end of COVID restriction and the beginning of new chapter? Our season only began in May when all the sports facilities re-opened, then TriHK resumed the race series that keep everyone very exciting and busy! We raced a lot of Aquathon in varies format like we trained, a Triathlon in the hottest day of the summer, and even a team of 2 Aquathon running hand in hand towards finish line! The reduction in quarantine also enabled us to travel again, racing oversea, like IRONMAN Copenhagen in August, we have Chloe, Catherine and James made it with an impressive finishing time! Maggie, Leo and Yvan also have their first time racing oversea in Laguna Phuket Triathlon! Not to miss IRON couple Cedric and Lisa made another PB in IM703 Melbourne!

It was a very fruitful 6mths season we could only put one Sonic Time Trial on the calendar, a great turn out for difference generation of members to play together in the wavy Shek O Triathlon and battle with some climb on the bike legs!

And now the off season? Off-season is the preparation of the next season, some of us already taking this down time to condition our training for the exciting year of 2023 ahead! Especially 2023 will be the 20th anniversary of Sonic! While we continuously training up new joiners, we will launch a few major initiatives, we already gather a team of tough souls with some first timers to race IM703 Vietnam in May, Phuket training camp is on the pipeline, plus few more major race goals and launch of new line of club kit. it will be a new beginning!
